Storage Precautions for Bridge Inflatable Core Molds

Thoroughly clean the surface of the core mold after use to remove concrete residues,，or other debris. Use clean water to rinse it, and avoid using sharp tools (such as steel brushes) that may scratch the rubber surface.

Ensure the core mold is completely dry before storage. Moisture trapped on the surface or inside can lead to mold growth, rubber degradation, or odor, especially in humid environments.

Sharp Objects: Store the core mold away from sharp tools, metal scraps, or rough surfaces to prevent punctures or cuts. Even small cracks can cause air leakage during subsequent use.

Chemical Exposure: Keep it away from oils, solvents, acids, alkalis, or other corrosive substances. These chemicals can break down the rubber material, reducing its elasticity and durability.

High Temperature and Fire: Store in a cool, well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight, heaters, or open flames, as high temperatures can accelerate rubber aging and hardening.

Fold the deflated core mold gently along its natural creases, avoiding excessive force or tight folding that may cause permanent creases or damage to the rubber structure.

Place the folded core mold on a flat, dry shelf or pallet. Do not stack heavy objects on top of it, as prolonged pressure can deform the mold or weaken its airtightness.

For short-term storage (within 1 month), check the core mold once a week for signs of damage, moisture, or pest infestation.

For long-term storage (more than 1 month), inflate the core mold to 30%-50% of its working pressure every 2-3 months and let it stand for 24 hours. This helps maintain the rubber’s elasticity and prevents it from sticking to itself. After inspection, deflate it again and store as usual.

Mark the storage date, number of uses, and any repair records on the core mold or its storage container. This helps track its service life and identify when replacement is needed.

Store different sizes or types of core molds separately to avoid confusion during retrieval and prevent them from rubbing against each other.
